how change seats Manual for electric

I have 4runner 2005 SR5. I want change my manual seats for electric seats. But I don't know is pre wire and only need push the fuse?

Not sure if the wire is there or not. Most manufacturers just run the wire for ALL vehicles. But it may not be there.

Your best bet is to remove your seats and look for the electrical connections.

I LOVE power windows and door locks...and I HATE power seats. Wife has them on her Lexus....I can move my seat back to accommodate my leg length in less then 1 second. On wifes Lexus...I press the button and wait and wait and wait. Reclining the seats is also a pain. Manual seats are far easier to use and less likely to break...and if they do break...far cheaper then if a electric seat breaks.

Honestly I agree with MikeInNH, I abhore power seats... they move so damn slowly that it drives me nuts. Though some higher end models come with memory functions it still requires you to wait for the seat to reset itself versus pop/slam/done of the manual seats. I do like the electronic lumbar support (when it isn't bound up from off-roading...) I do not remember if the vehicles come pre-wired for power seats. I will check my Sport Edition when I get the chance and get back to you.

My wifes Lexus has the Memory seats. Before I get in I press #2 (wifes is #1) and the car adjusts the seats to my previous settings. Also adjusts the side Mirrors and steering wheel. The steering wheel and side mirrors are nice to have. But I have to wait what seems for EVER for the seat to adjust. If it was manual...I could change all the settings in about 2 seconds.

Actually I want is change my seat cover for special edition but I see seat on craiglist ready special edition, but its electric
