So I wonder about the air vent flap in the drivers rear corner (behind the bumper). I wonder if this could/should be closed off.

I know that mine doesn't have the rubber flaps any more.

that video is not of me... but when i had water over the mirrors it was pretty much the same thing, and yes it was very scary...

that flap is for cabin pressure when you close the doors... i think its called a positive pressure vent but not sure. anyhow i dont really think you would want to seal that up as closing the doors with the windows all up could be uncomfortable to those inside...
