how did you guys prep your wheels

i'm just trying to get some ideas on how to prep my wheels to paint them myself? i see alot of runner owners do it, but i havent found any like step by step info on it...if anyone can help, that would be awesome

I'd recommend brake cleaner. It's VERY powerful, but evaporates within minutes. Hit it with that and if you're parpnoid (I say that cause you shouldn't need this step) use some dish soap and water afterward, just make sure to rinse it REALLY good and dry it overnight.

If your looking at BlairB's thread, an easier way to mask off the wheel is to use index cards. Just put them inbetween the tire and rim and than mask them down.
