How do I make my 4runner faster?

I have a 99 4 cylinder and it honestly feels like my car gets slower as each year goes by. Im getting sick of crawling up hills and having to slow down rather than speed up to change lanes. Are there any somewhat inexpensive aftermarket parts that could improve speed and/or accelleration?
