How do I pull off the dash trim?

I need to pull off the fake wood trim around the stereo/heating area of the dash. How does this come off?

is your wood drying out and cracking? i know mine also, but now wood would cost over $$$300

Open the center console lid and pull up on the cup holder/parking brake plastic. It pops straight up and out. Then pop off the shifter's plastic cover, again straight up and out. If it's 4x4 then you you probably separate the shifter boot from the plastic cover and you will be able to see how to do this. The center dash panel can then be pulled out. Start at the bottom and work your way up. IIRC there are 3 sets of clips for this piece. 1 set at the bottom, 1 middle, and 1 top. Then just disconnect all the plugs
