Hey guys, first off great forums. Through searching previous posts learned I had a bad master cylinder. One quick question that I couldn't find in the older threads is how to remove the reservoir for one with the abs. Due to an emergency I'm forced to get the local auto zone refurb and as much as I'd like a new reservoir I don't have the funds to blow on the new one. Mine is ok but might be a bit brittle and didn't want to do it wrong and break it. A how to would be greatly appreciated as I'm having to ride a bicycle in Texas weather to get to and from work. Oh and forgot I have a 2wd 97 limited with abs. Thanks

After looking at my 97 It appears that there is a phillips head screw holding the reservoir. Unscrew that, unplug the level indicator, and lift up with a slight rocking. Usually the seals are quiet tight, so it will take some pulling. I remember replacing mine a few years back. I believe it is still the same though. Its also nice if you can remove the fluid before attempting.
