How do the 120v outlets work in our T4R's?

So I'm curious how they work.................does the vehicle need to be on, how long can something be plugged in before the battery dies, what "can" be plugged in?

I'm wanting to purchase an electric cooler/fridge possibly for camping trips and occasionally a plug in flashlight.

I was using some power tools outside the reach of my extension cords so I used the 120V outlet in the back. I didn't look into it extremely deep, but I got them to work by starting the car and pushing the button on the lower left of the steering wheel. It did not work without the car running.

Ya I read it already.............didn't give me the answers I was looking for. Either that or I'm just that dumb when it comes to electrical.
