How do the dealer's decide ????

When I bought my 4R they has a mix of about 60% V8's and 40% V6's on the lot. A short time later I was browsing the lot on a Sunday I noticed about 80% V6's , 20% V8's. I thought it was because of gas prices rising. Last Sunday we went scouting for a Rav for the wife and noticed they got a crap load of 4R's in and they were 90% V8's.

Why such variation , it can't really be market driven since the gas is rising quickly (although the 6&8 get pretty close milage) and now they mostly have V8's , I also checked at a few other dealer's on sunday and noticed kind of the same thing.

They most definetly do not vary the inventory due to gas prices....it's mostly based on what's available and variety. Even if you only ever sold white V6 Sport 4R's.....they won't let you have a lot full of just that.

It just kinda comes in waves and sometimes they'll simply make you take stuff. Like if they had 50 pink 4Runner's sitting at the docks, some dealers would be getting them whether they like it or not hehe

Maybe the Mary Kay would buy them.
