How do y'all feel about these? "Amber" tail lights

So the 03-05 tails aren't the hottest around as everyone upgrades them to the 06-08 LED's. While I do have a led set coming in, I decided to play around in pshop to separate the 03-05 style from the rest, and found the look of ambers in the turn signals very appealing. I tested the 06-08 led's as well.

I do have a lot of experience with taking lights apart and dying internals.... so I think I'll give these a shot once the led's come in as I'll have them as an extra set. If others are wanting a set, I'm happy to offer the service and discounted rate if you're willing to send your old ones for a core.

What say the board? Yay/Nay?

i converted my tail lights as turn signals. and the original signal area as extra reverse lights. great for anti tailgaters, i have hids in the signals.

I might be in the minority, but I miss seeing the amber lights in the back of a car. What you've done reminds me of my older Tacoma. Very nice.

Will you be cutting the tails apart or baking? I recall someone here tried baking the '03-'05 tails and they basically melted; but he was successful in baking apart the lower bumper reflectors to install LED arrays

I'm sticking with clear though, I'll be using switchback LEDs in the turn and reverse areas so they both do double duty as turn signals and reverse. I've done it already on my dad's CRV

I've read the same, so most likely the cutting route. I'm eager to start the process, first hand. Apparently our runners are held w/ a different type of compound. therefore preventing it from the "baking" method. I'll report back... Like I said, we'll be testing the first set on my own haha
