How do you check tranny level when lifted?

I am lifted 3" in the front and 2" inches in the rear. Everything I've read says the vehicle needs to be on level ground when checking trans fluid level. Granted I'll still be on level ground when I check level, I'm sure the lift will throw off the levels of the trans. At this point do I just need to make sure the frame is level when checking fluid?

Also, is there a current write up on checking fluid levels? All the old threads I have found are hard to navigate because the links are broken.

As long as the vehicle isn't severely angled one way or another I think you should be relatively okay for checking the fluid level.

Worst case scenario put the frame on jack stands so that the frame sits level with the ground (as if it were on a lift). But that's if you want to be a real sticker.

Honestly I never considered this since I am always working on vehicles on a lift (1st world problems ), but that's how I'd go about it.

Rather than connecting pins to check trans temp can I just monitor on my torque app and check it when it's reached correct temp?

I use a level with magnet on pan bottom . level holds to bottom of pan.

I drive up on ramps on a grade of my parking spot. the fluid level is checked with the bubble level showing the pan bottom is level.

I use scan gauge . set it up to show torque converter and pan temps..

most all the time with NO loading these are the same temp when I do the fluid check.

That is what I did when changing my Tranny fluid. I had searched around and found 2 or 3 methods for setting up a trans temp gauge in torque and I just watched those until it reached the needed temp.

Word or caution, be sure to double check the procedure on when to pull the overflow plug (I think that's what it's called) on the tranny.
If I remember correctly, you're to remove it once the temp is reached and while the engine is still on.
I kept shutting the engine off before checking when I was working on mine, so I'm not sure I got the amount correct (any how, it's been over a year and everything (seems to be) working fine).
