How do you get at the oil filter for 2001 4runner ?

it sits under the alternator, but looks very inaccessable.
I feel like I am missing some easier way to get at it?

Go in through the wheel well, you just pull the clips and move the rubber guard out of the way.

yep......make sure you turn your wheel all the way to the left to make it easier to get to the filter

thanks- I was wondering if taking off that rubber skirt was the ticket

and turning wheel too-
