How do you get white shoe polish off?

I got married on May 30 and my windows were shoe polished. They managed to run some of down onto the black rubber around the rear glass and the drivers side window. I used windex to get it off my glass, but through a good washing and using windex I have not been able to get it off the black rubber.

Anybody have any suggestions?

Gasolinne will remove it, but use small ammount and rough the area up with clean tooth brush.
