how do you know if xreas is damaged

the dealer sent my 4runner limited off to have the toytec 3"lift w/front and real coils installed today, toytec assured me it was compatible with the xreas system, all you had to do was safely disconnect the xreas lines install the new coils via wall compressor then reinstall everything and re connect the xreas. Picked it up today and xreas had been completely removed and looks like bilstein shocks installed, but not sure what lift package it is, looks to be a BIG mix up, from the toytec website looks like what they ordered was the FJR-FRCC and the FJ4BILK set up gonna have tires and alignment done tomorrow morning

Anyone any idea if those two product packages even work together?

Front looks alot taller than the rear right now

rears are definately bilstein 5100, fronts look to be the same with the red toytec springs, and they added the spacer ontop of the strut assembly which is why the front is sitting higher than the rear probably

Wow, I'd say that's a mix up. What did they do with your XREAS? I take it you thought it was a spacer lift?How much did you pay? That's the Toytec Ultimate lift I believe. Did they change the rear springs too(they will be red instead of black)

You will need to adjust the front Coilovers where you want them height wise BEFORE an alignment. They have all been coming adjusted to high it seems.
 
 
ya i know the removed the xreas system, the removed stuff was set in the back, my big concern is if i opt to have it reinstalled how do i know its functioning properly?

Those are the Toytec Ultimates on the front in the pic and they are adjustable by turning that collar. Probably the whole Ultimate kit I would bet they put on. How much did they charge?
 
harper you think those are bilsteins 5100's up front, is that a spacer ontop of the shock? it just doesn't look like a traditional coil over shock like whats pictured on the ultimate lift website.

your gonna kick me for even thinking about trading it back to the xreas, but they charged me 1k installed lol which is the deal of the century

I installed the Ultimates on Steph's TE and believe me those are the same Ultimate CO's that I see in the front on yours.

The shocks don't say Bilstein on them but they are and yes there is a spacer on top of Ultimates.
You got a great deal! I saw you wrote you had 5100's for the rear shocks but they did change the back springs too?

sorry harper, yes they changed out the rear springs, im thinking your right this is the ultimate lift. I might just have them take off the front space, from my pic can you see the sway bar relocaters? Am i crazy for even considering asking them to change back to the exreas with just the tall springs?

i have no idea how i ended up with the spacers up front? why are the shocks so extended?

They come with the spacers already on the Ultimates. The collar just needs adjusted to lower the front some. You want less threads showing.Drivers side you want to turn that collar towards the front of the truck and on the pass side towards the rear to lower the front.Did they give you the tool?

And yes you would be crazy to put your XREAS back on at that price.
 
hey harper,

called toytec today and you were 100% right its a ultimate lift, got my tires installed and aligned. Im going back to texas truxx and have them loosen the front

when the aligned was done the tires still had alot of positive camber
 
alright went back to texas truxx and guess toytec forgot to ship out the sway bar relocater and radiator relocater, paid 30 to over night the parts my 1030 and sent wrong pieces lol. Ben has been helping me and he has been great.

I wasn't able to get correct camber bc the tire was hitting the top control arm so called around and 4wheel parts in coppell had a set of spinder trax spacers and went over there and picked up a couple of pairs, had texas trux throw those on since they had to pull everything off to adjust the front shocks

im gonna post some pics in a little bit, i think it looks great

harper you able to adjust the shock with everything connected, maybe if you cut down the spanner wrench?

Yes,It will change the camber and the toe.That's why wrote a couple of post up

Without the sway bar relocator and support bracket spacers the sway bar will rub hard on the supports. Probably making some weird sounds going around corners from them rubbing.
That's why I kept my front sway bars off when I first did my Icon lift as those 2 supports are new to 4Runners to beef up the frame.Nobody knew about them. and Icon and others now supply them with the CO's for non TE 4Runners.

To adjust the Ultimates the locking collar is on the bottom so you have to jack it up and take the wheels off to get to it.Might work to cut down the spanner wrench.
With the Icons , the locking collar is at the top. Icon CO's I just take the weight off the wheels to adjust. You shouldn't have to adjust the height many times anyways, so no big deal.Just when you add weight up front like a bumper,winch, ect.,once you get the height you want.
