How do you prevent XD HIDs from misfiring?

Seems like half the time I turn on my headlights, only one turns on. Usually it's the driver's side, but occasionally it's the passenger side. Happens more often when it's cold out. I love the brightness of HIDs, but I'm getting real sick of how fickle they are. Could it possible have anything to do with my wiring to ground?

I’ve been running XD HIDs since 2015, just switched to Morimotos. I never had any of the issues you spoke of. I don’t have any unique grounding on my vehicle either. Can’t say whether that’s the culprit

Did you wire in the harness or use the headlight power from the rig? I just use the headlight power with zero issues. Some have needed the harness and not sure why?

It's likely the ballast. It'll go out fully eventually.

How long have you had them?
