Okay guys, so since I didn't get any responses to an alternative fix I'm guessing I'll have to remove the dash and get someone to tack weld this bridge back on.
I'm in the middle of a clutch pedal bracket replacement and found that the the bolt that goes straight up, above the clutch pedal was moving. It was still bolted in tight, but it was moving.
SO I did a little thread searching and found that "the bolt goes into a little bridge bracket that is tack welded to the under side of the wiper transmission tray. If you remove your cowl screen and look down inside the left hand (drivers side) access hole, just below the left wiper pivot, you will probably see a tear in the metal where that bracket is/was tack welded on."
SO I'm guessing to fix the bridge bracket (as well as complete the replacement of the clutch pedal bracket) the dash has to come out.
So How Do I Remove the Dash to get access to this?
Anyone?? PLEASE... some input would be helpful. like I said on my other post this is currently sitting in my drive way pulled apart, so SOME input or a reply would be appreciated to get me back on the road.
