How do you remove the door panel?

I have an 03 4runner. Recently, I've developed problems with the drivers side window control and the door lock.

Does any one have any experience at removing the door panel? I would like to see if I can find the problem on my own.

PM me with an email address and I'll send you a PDF copy of the Crutchfield instructions for removing the door panel. I've never done it myself but the hardest part will probably be prying the clips and having a good prying wedge/tool (preferably plastic) will make your life easier.

I have seen it done a few times; it was always with a specal pry tool. You run the risk of damaging the clip or worse, the door panel without one. The tool can't be costly. Check with an autoparts store or maybe you could borrow one from a local body shop.
