How do you value these 4th Gen Leftovers?

I bit the bullet and bought the 2008. Might not be the most stellar deal price-wise.

It was clean, the dealer was great, and everything worked.

Does it have setbacks? Yeah, but it's a Toyota.

Ill post pics soon.

2008 Leftovers, fine. But 2006 and 2007's? Yikes.

They wanted just north of 36K on the 2007 Limited.

I guess they felt the need to start somewhere. I started well below 30.

They said below 30 isnt happening.

36K for a 07' Limited - Thats Rediculous!

Sticker Price for my fully loaded 08' Sport Edition that i got March of 08' was 36K and it had every extra goody you could get on the sport.

I'm starting to pre-shop for my used 4Runner. I want a V6 Sport, but most of what I see for sale (here in Toronto) at dealers are V8 Limiteds! Were there so many fickle buyers that wanted Big V8 SUV's with leather who are now dumping them, or were there 20 Limiteds selling for every SR5 or Sport? Or are most/all of the current V6 Sport owners so happy with their vehicles that they're not selling? Or does the Sport's hood scoop have something to do with this? :p

Lots of sports down in Northeast US.

One of them being a 2006 with 200 miles on it.

For the preowned market, its probably 10% limited, 30% sport and 60% sr5.

Mostly V6. I wanted to test drive a V8 but could never find one.

I bought a Certified 2005 Limited V8 (40K miles) loaded with everything (JBL, Nav, etc) last Fall for $20K out the door. Super clean.

I was coming from a 2002 Sport Edition and was weary of the V8...especially with the $5+ gas prices here in SoCal. But the gas mileage is only like 1.7mpg lower from the V6 to the V8. So if you find a great deal on the V8, don't be too shy. Now that I've had it for 6 months...I couldn't imagine having the V6!

I've been monitoring private seller and dealer used 4Runner pricing for a while now. Even with the exchange rate, I've seen so many more better deals in the US vs. Canada. Basically I think less supply up here in Cda. translates into higher pricing. Supporting this is the fact that I am seeing a few US 4Runners being sold here by non-Toyota dealers.

I just bought a new '08 SR5, V8 here in AZ a week ago. Sticker was 37K - got it for 24K - and yes, it has lots of extras.

Just picked up a lease return 2008 SR5 4x4 with 28K on it for $21,600. I thought that was a sweet deal as it was well under KBB. It is Toyota certified and has a 100K warrantee. Still has the new car smell!

Now this Forum is going to be my new best friend as I contemplate the many upgrades needed. :)

New '08 V8 sport and sticker was $37k??? Must have every option available. $24k is an amazing deal. Best I've heard on that model. Standing O from me.

Yep, lot's of options included. It was the last one on the lot (51 miles on odometer). They still had a few '09's left - with less options for a slightly higher sticker price...? but wanted to clear inventory for the '10s. Hey, I'll take "power everything" for that price!
