How fast in 4wd in snow?

The visor says a maximum of 80kmp(50mph) but in snow on the highway the traffic is about 100kph(65mph) on snow packed conditions. I have never had a 4wd truck with a speed limit recomendation in 4wd before. Is 100 k ok on a wet snowy surface or are 4runners limited to 80k for some reason? Thanks

just not as good on the 4wd to drive faster for long periods of time. its not like the truck stops working but just some restrictive advice. i have done about that in 4wd when conditions are bad and dont want to try it in 2wd.

Im not sure, i cant remember what the sticker says, but its probably the maximum speed your allowed to shift into 4 wheel drive,,,,

I cant see that being the top speed once your in it.

I think that's the maximum you can engage the 4wd system and not max speed in 4wd. I've been driving 60-70 in 4wd forever and no problems here but I prefer to be around 35mph when I engage 4wd.

these newer 4runners can go into 4wd at like 45 if you really need to. but lower speed is better. my 82 land cruiser has to be at almost a complete stop to go into 4wd, and wouldnt go over 30 in it.

I think it's different by year, but I'm pretty sure I can go 80mph in 4hi

Just have to engage it under 50
