My girlfriends carpet is completely ruined with stains and such. I was wondering if anyone has knowledge or experience with replacing carpets in a 4Runner.

Thanks again for any help offered!

Have replaced many a carpet in many an automobile. You just need to take your time. Lay it out in the driveway on a warm day so it's easier to work with. Then make sure everything is out of the truck. Lay it out and form it to the floor as best you can.
Have a nice sharp utility knife to work with. Always measure twice and cut once.

It's not too bad. I sunk my 4th gen a few months back. The seats are easy to get out. The center console takes a little more time so you don't break any clips or lose screws. After that it's just popping off trip and pulling the carpet up.

Interior carpeting on vehicles usually isn't bad in terms of difficulty or complexity of the actual process, its just labor/time intensive. Just be patient and take your time and you'll get the whole carpet assembly out in an afternoon.

Have you tried to clean them? Adams makes a carpet fabric cleaner that is downright wonderful and super simple to use. I got a mud stain out that has been there for years, took about a minute.

Yeah... clean that s*** or throw Weathertech's on there and be done with it.

Ripping the carpet out should be a very last resort to even consider...

I rhino lined the inside of my Jeep, got tired of cleaning the carpet in it after wheeling with the top off, it was nice just to power wash the inside and outside at the same time, then pull the floor drains and drive off all the water would find it way out.
