How hard to pull center console apart?

It's not hard to remove all those panels, but you can't wire the cable in there without drilling a hole for it, I already tried.

This is the link I used but I didn't run a wire like you want to. It will help with getting the panels off though.

when i installed my alpine radio i ran the ipod wire into the glove box but when my runner got broken into it was obvious when they opened the glove box so i got another ipod and now it sides under the panel where the shifter is so its hidden and good luck if they can find it... just thought id share that bc if u put it in the arm rest just make sure to make the wire stealthy!

This is one of the reasons I always wire my cars this way, the glove box is where people expect it to be. It's also alot more convenient in the center armrest and easier to reach. And I was planning to drill a hole forthright cable, I've done this in the past.

Ya i thought bout doing this a while back bc i saw someone had done this on YT but i figured since i got broken into once i would make it almost impossible to find unless u tore apart my runner.

With our '99 I did not have to remove the a/c panel. They changed the design at some point.
Center Console
It's super easier to remove the console and run the wire. Just look at this thread and the threads that are linked in it and you'll see everything you could have ever wanted to know about the center console. The seventh post down shows my iPod cable heading to the console.

Just put in a new stereo a couple days ago, super easy to get the center console apart but there's no way to get the cable into the armrest compartment without drilling. Another thing I discovered was that it's really easy to remove pieces if you rotate them 90 degrees to clear the climate control trim panel and the shifter knob.

The console is very easy to dissasemble, its 2 screws and 2 bolts, the screws are on the sides of the console right about at the shifter assembly, and the bolts are in the center console. If you have Rear heat just make sure you unplug the wire when you are pulling the console off. The Center console is way easier than taking the dash off.
