How I Spent My Sunday

I finally got around to painting my wheels yesterday...not sure how much i like the clear coat...but i think it looks better than stock. and today was nice so i washed it and took some pictures since i'm not sure when i will see my runner clean again. (mud season in VT is rough)

Rusty bumper

last night, before i washed it

next to come will be to replace the rusted chrome bumpers. possibly black like the grille and wheels...i'm not quite sure yet

I herculined my chrome bumper over the weekend. It would look good with your black wheels. The wheels seem a bit shiny, but that could be from the camera. Looks good, though.

yeah...they are a bit shiny. hopefully they will dull down a bit. if not, i'll get some 1000 grit sandpaper or something. kinda regretting that clearcoat. but whatever

looks good! im planning on doing the same to my wheels when i get the chance to. still contemplating the clearcoat, but leaning more towards not putting it on. kind of like the dull matte look more.

get a low gloss or flat black paint with a clear coat....you dont wanan go out and beat on them without a clear on it...mine are chipped alot and thats WTIH the clear

I agree, you want clear coat for protection. I used duplicolor flat black wheel paint with clear coat. They didn't come out
shiny but they are still holding up well.

i'll probably redo mine if needed...considering i only spent $15 on the job, i'm not worried
