Im sure that you have seen these before and I also have seen them. There are offers all over hte place on the internet for free IPODs. I did a google search to find out which ones were legitimate. I searched alot of forums and found one that gets very good reviews and finally found a couple that are reliable and legitimate and talked to people that actually recieved theirs .( I am actually writing this, it is not a copied and pasted note). Heres how it works. Its kinda like a pyramid thing. You open an account and then you complete one of the offers. They range anywhere from a magazine subscription to coffee. This particular one is for a free 30g Video IPOD. (black or white). When you have completed the offer, they give you a link that you can post anywhere you want, I just chose to do it via email. If you can get 5 other people to complete an offer, they ship you your ipod. Here is how it breaks down into terms of money invested. When you click my link, it will ask you to complete an offer, the easiest and best is probably the Boca Coffee offer. You get 4 bags of coffe and a tumbler for 18 bucks delivered. No more obligation to ever buy anything. by completing this offer, you become one of my 5 referals. When i get 5 referals, I get my IPOD (yippee). Next, you register and start an account and complete another offer, (yeah, another 18 bucks)) . they give you a referal link and then you just send this same type of mail to all of your friends, (you can even send it back to me!). once you get 5 of your own referals, you get your IPOD. On and on down the line. Total investment is 36 bucks and you get alot of coffee and an IPOD worth about 250-300 bucks at the end. Not a bad investment for a little bit of time. Im not into scams and this is why I looked into it before I got involved. I just registered and completed my offer. Dont feel bad if you dont want to do it, I understand that not everyone is as optomistic as I may be but its better than shelling out 300 bucks for my own IPOD.

wow! what a condescending reply. I am sure that alot of you would like to know how to get a homelink for free. Who wants to know when the Pioneer Nav unit goes on sale? Is there anybody out there that wants to know when the Dueler at's are going on sale. This is no different. If you want to start your own link and get something for nothing....more power to you. I have seen alot of these little posts in member's signatures so I decided to do some legwork and explore the legitimacy of the claims and have posted what I found. I dont care if you look into this or not but please dont just say "rookie mistake". Im not so new to this board or the world of 4runners or 4wheeling in general. IM 35 years old and responsible enough not to post a SCAM on a website that I visit often. I just provided some imformation that you can take or leave. I dont bag on people for posts that I dont particularly care about so maybe you shouldnt either.
 
If I am reading your post right, can't YOU just buy 5 of those coffee offers, under different names and the get the Ipod for $90?? plus all that coffee.
 
actually, you could but all the referals have to be from different IP addresses and then they are verified by the merchants (coffee people) and then they would know that the credit card numbers and shipping addresses are all the same. The reason that they can afford to give the IPODs away, is that they get money from these companies to get them new customers, so all of the referrals have to be from different people. I thought about this already and looked into it and found out that it wasnt possible. But i like the way you think!
 
One more point. So if I was to convince 5 people to buy with my money (pay them after they use their own credit card) that would work right? Hell, I'd even let them keep the coffee or whatever. I could do this easily with just close family.
 
yes you could. as a matter of fact. some people actually make posts offering to pay for people to complete an offer for them. I urge you to watch the first three videos on the last link to better understand how this works. I may end up doing the same thing.

I will but I don't think that is the reason. I recieve HUGE cad files at work for engineering purposes. Can you tell me how to navigate there instead of linking?
 
Here's an idea...instead of selling your soul to get something free, JUST BUY IT LIKE ANY OTHER NORMAL CAPITALIST COMSUMER.

I tried one of these once ....

Lots of "hidden" charges and membership obligations with the companies that you are signing up with.

I did the coffee thing through Boca coffee. Great coffee --- but $120 later I was still getting billed.
 
I did the same offer you are doing on freeipods.com and it worked fine. I successfully got a free black 30gb video iPod, and have 3 other friends who did the same.

All of those offers rotate out periodically. I happened to do a $1 month trial of Rhapsody music service, which was actually useful. The whole process (completing offers, getting 5 complete referrals, and shipment) took about a month and a half at most.
 
Yeah, it always is a little harder to get 5 people than you would think. I was still in college when I did it, so I would go ask my friends in person and show them the site. I offered to pay them for their offer, too, so they wouldn't even lose anything. It helped for me to sit and walk them through the process so they weren't so skeptical. The process had been featured on TechTV, so I wasn't worried about it.

Just make sure your referrals are legit because they verify them. They check the email addresses, what name was on the account that paid for the offer, etc. They don't want one person creating 5 emails and completing offers for themselves obviously.

Good luck with it! It certainly feels good the day you get a $300 iPod in the mail for almost free!
 
funny that you would mention that about going and helping your friends do it. I did the same for the three of mine and they are all on-board withit now and a couple of them have just as many as I do now. It helps to open the window box to find out what is required. I may end up paying for the last two just to get em done! glad to hear that this has worked for you also!
