how long does the battery last?

we just got back from camping in the runner out at Guadalupe Mountain National Park. While I was there, I wanted to charge my iPod, laptop and other stuff. I thought about leaving the key in "ACC" ignition so the 12V outlets can stay on. Have you guys tried doing this? If so, how long?

You should do the constant 12V mod rather than leave the key in the ACC position. That being said, the question of how long will the battery last is a good one. Don't know exactly but It obviously depend on the watts being drawn. Anyone with some real world experience?

Yes.

Might be something left on that can accelerate the battery drain, mirror perhaps? You can check, but in my case the Nav would be on.

You could turn the nav display off too. The only thing is the DVD would probably still be spinning.

How do you turn the nav display off. The other day I was washing the vehicle with the radio on (key in acc position) and was wondering if having the nav display on may burn in the screen over the long run.

Press the 'Display' button, along the top of the screen press "Screen Off".
