How long following a repair do you check your work?

Just curious to see if anyone else is like me. I take my time when doing maintenance but still find myself checking the repair for at least a week or two after to make sure I did everything right. Funny thing is, when I take a car/truck to a shop I just drive away carefree, even though I know I am probably much more careful and deliberate when working on it than they are.

So how long after a repair is it still in the back of your mind?

Perfect example, I did a transmission drain and fill and installed a tranny cooler two weekend ago and still find myself checking the lines and analyzing how smooth the gear shifts are lol.

I'll check my work once or twice over the following week or two. While I'm doing the work I will usually double check most bolts.
Work from a shop, which is seldom? I am very leery and check a lot more. This is why I do most of my own work.

I will say that I do visual inspections of most of the vehicle very often.
