Just curious how many miles you guys have on your 4Runners. Any major problems thus far for you guys with lots of miles?

2004 SR5 V6 with 140,000 miles.

I bought it with about 120,000. When I bought it I immediately switched to Amsoil 5W-30 motor oil. I also changed the diffs to Amsoil Severe Gear. Recently, I had the dealer service the transmission (flush), and change the coolant. I also asked about changing the steering fluid, but they said changing ps fluid wasn't necessary.

For the record, before I changed these fluids, my truck was still running factory fluids. And I have the four speed (non WS). I'm also running stock battery.

I'm going to replace the serpentine belt soon.

This truck is a beast. No hiccups.

Just bought my Runner 2 weeks ago ('06 SR5, V6, 54k miles) so I cant tell you how it has been before that...but for the last 350 miles, its been awesome :)

I have an '03 Limited V6 2WD, I bought it from my aunt last March with 119K, now it has 155K and still no real problems. It's been 1,400 mi from AL to CO (and back) twice, and I plan to take it again at the end of the week.

04 SR5 V8 with 115,000

I had the water pump and timing belt replaced at 100K. At that point I checked the spark plugs and they were spotless. I swear they looked brand new so I left them in.

I have not had any real big issues at all. It is at the shop right now because there is a crack in one of the exhaust manifolds and it makes this horrible clicking sound when it is cold. I also had the sunroof malfunction back when it was new so the dealer replaced the whole sunroof and assembly.

2003 V8 Limited XREAS. 120,000 miles

Seized brake caliper..
Some wear and tear on the drivers seat (repaired $75)
and that's it..

Been following FACTORY maintenance schedule fairly closely.

Still on original water-pump, dealer said it looked like new...
XREAS still intact no leaks, looks and works fine.

Replaced serpentine belt on the weekend...(a DIY project) it was cracked and was pretty much finished.

2008 Limited V6 4WD w/32,500 miles. Religiously follow scheduled maintenance. Completed 3,400 trip this month from Minnesota to press site of Kennedy Space Center to view launch of U.S. space shuttle Atantis, STS-135. Both vehicles performed marvelously.

There's a lot more V6's responding than I thought there would be. Does anyone know if there's data from Toyota about how many V6's have been sold vs V8's?

07 v6 with about 70k miles on it. No problems at all, the previous owner had it towed back the the dealer with a faulty brake lock out switch. I guess they couldn't get it out of park but didn't know about the the over ride button. The dealer fixed it under warranty and provided me with the service records.

I've had it for about a year and a half and put 10k on it, just routine maint.

45k, no mechanical problems. So far only fluid, filter and spark plug change.

Just little annoying things that shouldn't happen with a Toyota. The rim finish is bubbling (appears to be a trend for late model Toyota alloys). There was a moonroof rattle at one point, but went away. The driver seat "pop" is there. Driveline clunk. I think that's about it.
