Just rolled 289k. Pulled the front end apart for the version 2 rebuild this weekend. Upgrading to JBA arms, new lower bushings, tundra brakes, new rack.

Needs a flexplate and rear axle needs a new shaft/seals but otherwise going strong.

I'm at 531,000 on my '01. Purchased new with 2 miles on the odometer, and have done 100% of the maintenance/repairs/upgrades since. Bombproof reliable truck with original engine & tranny.
My daughter's twin '02 has 225,000 miles, original engine & tranny.
I spent a metric ass ton of money within the last year having some rear wheel well arch rust cut out & properly repaired, and the entire truck treated to a glass-out respray. Love it.

at 317k miles. got a neglected specimen that was used and abused. original transmission finally gave out. couple days ago. I've been showing it love since I bought it a few months ago and have been surprised to see factory original parts still on it. for example coil packs, Shocks coils ball joints pcv valve and more were all from factory. wouldn't be surprised if tranny gave out because it had original fluid most it's life.

Thank you! No, no major issues ever. The one & only time it failed to get me home was when the original fuel pump died about 20 miles from home. That was at 400,000 miles. After a flatbed ride home, I dropped the tank that night.
Everything else has been routine maintenance as well as replacing things when I feel they are starting to wear. Pretty much 100% Toyota parts always.

I sure hope that number keeps climbing.

Longtime friends know what this silly thing means to me. It's a part of our family and will never get sold. It may get another '01-'02 to keep it company one day.
