Original engine and tranny. Just kept up on all maintenance. It was my grandfathers truck since 96 and was dealer maintained it's whole life. I got it at ~350k I think, somewhere around there. I've since done a lot of maintenance on it though, but all the usual stuff you'd do anyway. (TB, WP, plugs, wires, external tranny cooler, starter, ignition lock cylinder, etc)

lol Thanks man. It's been done every 90-100k. It was dealer maintained it's whole life til I got it. I've done the TB/WP etc one time since I've had it and the last time it had been done was at 333,000. So to answer your question, I'm guessing 4?

This thread makes me a happy T4R owner being that mine only has 113k on it with tons of records for maintenance. I see all these T4R with 250k on average and still running great. I can't wait to get up there with this one but it will defiantly be awhile as I only drive 8 miles a day.

I may be an idiot or just too trustworthy of the ole 4runners but I just brought home a '98 SR5 with 317k on it. It looks good and seems to run well too. I paid around $2500 for it. Am I am idiot?

New guy here. I just bought a 98 SR5 with 226,000 on it. This thing looks and runs great. Was in one family since new. They had timing belt and water pump replaced at 216,000 along with having heads done with gaskets, new thermostat and some other maint. items. I have reciept for this work. Was done at a local shop. I am kinda a scrounger so I am trying to modify on the cheap. Just trying to build for a fishing/hunting/camping truck. So far I have taken the running boards off. Bought a set of 285 Mastercrafts for 200.00 with about 75% tread, a front brush guard for 100.00, looking for a cargo basket now. I did order a new Rough Country 3" lift for it.
