How many miles on your 4runner?

I use Dino or synth blend. With the 3.4, as long as you change your oil & filter regularly, the oils above the manual's recommended SJ rating don't really add much in terms of lubrication. I suppose you could run a Mobil 1 or Amsoil to 10k between changes, but for my money & truck I don't see any added value.

I bought my 2002 - SR5 4runner in 2005 with about 60,000 miles. Poor guy was going through a divorce and I got it at a great price - since then it's never been touched by a mechanic (except for the lower ball joint recall I just found out about!) I've changed the fluids religiously, timing belt a few years back, cat converter once, many brake jobs, etc.

My aunts (I believe its a 1998 and bought brand new) 4runner has almost 250,000 miles. She just does regular maintenance and drives it everywhere.
As for my 1991 4runner (which I bought brand new and is still my DD) has 147k with some change. Done some slight mods and do regular maintenance. Its even on the original clutch!

First post to T4R. Been reading a lot.
I just inherited my wife's 01 2WD SR5 with 76k miles. A lot of those miles were mine with both of us in it on road trips in Socal. Since transplanting it to Hawaii, hardly any mileage added.
MY poor WRX OTOH, had a ton of miles piled up until I retired, so it was slated to go when the wife got a new car. I miss the acceleration and maneuvering, but no big deal. Have always loved driving her 4Runner and now it is mine to fiddle with.
Miles are very low for a 13 year old car, but I will do the timing belt soon. We have been religious about using synthetic oil since new and frequent changes, so all should be good to go for a long time.
Wish it was 4WD, did get stuck in sand at Bellows beach on Oahu. Embarrassing, the guys hanging around just assumed all 4Runners were 4WD and could not understand why it was stuck with the back tire spinning. Guess the Trac-Lok is not so spiffy at that sort of stuff.

This fall I will celebrate a full decade with my 4Runner and got it with 97k on it and now have 182,300 miles but now married with another car and a short commute I only log about 250 miles a month. Just changed out the original denso plugs and new wires are next as the originals are stamped with 1998 on 'em.

95,000 Miles for my '96, but being Canadian it sounds worse at 152,000 Km.
Just 124,000 Km when I bought it from the original owner and the rest I put on driving to Mexico and back.
I like it more every time I drive it. Gonna buy a beater car to keep the miles off the 4runner.
