2001 with 249,000. Finally had to put a part on it besides brakes and Timing belt stuff. I had to replace my front O2 sensor. I have always run Mobil 1 oil and the motor still uses NO oil in between oil changes. Truly an amazing vehicle.

97 4runner, brought home last week. 170,924mi. Timing belt was done about 150k and its getting a tuneup and lifted. Parts are sitting and just waiting to go in.

Hi All

I'm looking at buying a 98 4Runner. Seller states the vehicle has been maintained well but what advice or things should I look at/for when I go check out the truck? Has 144k miles and pics look okay. It's a 98 so I just want it to run dependably. It's the 3.4 limited and has some interior snags but nothing out of the norm.

Any advice helps...thanks

I just got my 00 LTD a couple days ago and just hit 230K! With good maintenance, hoping to keep it running strong till 300K and beyond!

Finally surpassed 300k miles last month! Besides regular maintenance the only big issue was replacing a couple injectors around 120k
