How much did you pay for the truck with only 78,000 miles?

The 4runner was my mom's. I traded her my 2012 priusV for it. The prius was my egg/produce delivery vehicle when I had a farmette in central illinois. I moved to central utah and the prius would sit for months at a time. Meanwhile, my mom hardly ever drove the 4runner. (she's 82)

So depending on the angle you look from, it was a really good trade or a bad one.

My 97 silverado with 35" tires is now the one that sits around a lot. The 4runner is currently my main mountain trail vehicle. At least until it snows or gets real muddy.

Picture of it a few days ago. I have 11 miles of trail like this to get to my elk hunting spot.


The only downside is that when I take the bumps a bit too fast, my 6' 3" husband hits his head. I swear I don't do it on purpose.

Does the ball joint recall thing apply to a 2001 4wd limited?

I just bought my first t4r 2 weeks ago with 280k on it. After doing normal tuneup plus changing fuel filter and front rotors and pads it drives great!

266,000 on a '99 limited. Little quirky items happening. I just replaced the original shocks and struts. I inherited it and it was taken care of. Timing belt replaced at 188,000. It had a glove box full of maintenance receipts.

I own a 2004 Sport Edition 4WD that I purchased 1 year old and currently has 140k this has been a joy. I recently realized my suspension is different in the Sport than other models? XREAS? I noticed a difference while test driving newer 4Runners and found that out. My old 4Runner rides better than newer ones without XREAS. Is any maintenance required on this suspension?

2002 4runner 170K Miles

So i just picked up my 4Runner, 2002 with 175,000 on the odometer. Its in great condition and runs great, I hope it lasts me a long time.
