Just bought mine with 231k a couple months ago. Hadn't even driven it seriously, bought it needing a starter/clutch work. Immediately did a complete build, intake, exhaust, plate bumpers, so on and so forth before ever driving it.

Put it all together and it runs great. Can't think of anything else I've ever considered doing the same thing with.

118,086 on '99 Highlander. Was with my then-wife at dealership in August, 1999 when she picked it up, bought it from her in Dec. 2015 when she switched to a Rav4. It's in pristine condition. Love it.

205,000 mi. 2001 SR5 4WD. Bought summer 2016. Had a 95' and 97' 4R in the family back in the 90's. These vehicles are so durable and light on their feet compared to SUVs now a days.

Lol. I work from home, so I really don't drive all that much. But I've gotten back into climbing outdoors (sort of took a break for a while and was almost climbing exclusively indoors), so now I head over the mountains pretty regularly, which is about 250 miles round trip.
