186000 On mine! Still feels good. May replace motor, but not for another 20000 miles or so!

im going into 135,000. my brother's 99 Limited is pushing upper 150K's

99 limited 2wd, 148,950 had to replace 2 fuel injectors and coils, thats it knock on wood. i get average 21mpg. im a courier for suntrust bank in florida i drive 170 miles per day
3.6 v6 also not the 4 cylinder, my neighbor has a 99 sr5 with 203,000 and no problems he paid 6,000 with 189,000 on her

How the heck do you get 21mpg! I assume freeway driving, but even then, 21mpg sounds pretty good (I think I get like 19mpg on the highway). What speed are you usually settling in at?

I get 21MPG all the time. Usually going 70-75MPH. If I go down to 65MPH, I see 23MPG. This is in my 2001 Tacoma Double Cab 4x4 V6, 2002 4Runner Sport Edition and 1998 4Runner Limited V6 Supercharged (was more like 20-21MPG in this rig).

I'm with you, and I'm driving at '02! I'd like to know if there's a quick and cheap fix to bump up the gas a couple miles per gallon....

It's all about driving habits. Also, I am about 80% on the highway, so take that into account. If you're about half and half, your MPG is about right.

I have a 96 4X4 V6 w/209k miles, I'm getting 17 city and 22.3 highway. I calc-ed that on 10w40, now I run 5w30 and havn't calc the milage yet.

I am hoping for 19 and 24/25 because my 07 Tundra w/5.7L gets 17/22.

164,377 on the wife's '98 6 cylinder... 5w30 Valvoline Max mileage 21 consistently per fillup

280,740 on my son's '98 6 cylinder... 5w30 Valvoline 20 mpg consistently per fillup

That's awesome mileage! My 99 has 90K miles on it now. But I purchased a motorcycle for my daily commuting so the 4runner will be sitting a little more at least until winter.

Yea I just bought it from a Toyota dealer a few months ago and it had like 60,600 miles on it.

They gave me a 30 day warranty which I replced the 02 sensors and cats,power antenna and front rotors.

Plus any car you buy from them you get a free loaner [Prius] any time you bring the truck in for service. They will pick your car up anywhere within 50 miles and leave you with the Prius.

And I got it for 10k,it looks brand new inside and out. I think I did ok.

I also have a VW Corrado, and Yamaha Zuma that gets like 100 MPG so milegae on the Runner will stay very low.

Yup it was 10k out the door. Before I picked it up they put in a new starter, full tuneup, rear bumper, flushed the coolant, new battery. The Truck looks like it came off the showroom floor.

I originally wen to look at FJ cruisers, then decided against it. Told the salesman the FJ wasn't really what I was looking for. He asked well wha do you want. I said a 99-01 Runner. His response. YOU NEED TO GET DOWN HERE RIGHT NOW
