That's one way to view it. (Clear coating can be done for like $400-)

1996 and 480,000 km (it started life as a Canuck), which translates to 298k miles on the original engine and transmission. Apparently I'm almost in the 300K club.

My 97 4Runner Limited 4X4 has 197,365 on it with no mechanical issues whatsoever, and it still looks great for it’s age. I’m hoping to get 400,000 miles out of it.

I bought a 99 with 100k and ran it out to 330K. Sold it to a friend, they still drive it.
Bought a 98 last year with 204K and tripped it a few months later. More rust than I cared for. Was an East coast rig in early life.
Bought another 98 with 205 and ran it to 211 with a slight head gasket leak and some lower end and valve train clatter. Swapping it now for a mystery mile JDM motor.

02 with 190k only problems ever had was canister, brake booster/ master/accumulator and a few mufflers oh and rear hatch struts lol.

Awesome! This gives me hope, was wondering if I should stop doing upgrades at 220K but I guess I should keep on going!

I have an '01 Sport with 220K, replaced O2 sensor and rear axle seals/bearings. Otherwise no problems.

It's been my daily driver for about 6 months now...drive about 80 miles a day...it got to where it was sputtering when it needed more power to go up a hill especially when it was wet outside...put some NGK plug wires on it yesterday and its fixed
