How many miles on your 4runner?

230,481 is all the mileage that this power plant is going to see. Blew a head gasket in #5, and was trying to feed all the coolant into that cylinder on Tuesday. I limped her to work for the rest of the week (only a couple miles each way) with the radiator cap off and the #5 plug pulled, and parked her for surgery on Friday afternoon. So the end result is the second pic, which I started today. Well, getting an error when trying to upload pics, so I apologize. There will be no teardown porn included in this post.

I just bought off my parents their 02 SR5 with 264K miles on it. Lots of distance travel have been put on the engine. Trips to Baja, Nevada and NorCal all originating from Central Cali. Now it is my daily driver. From what my dad told me was he had the transmission rebuilt a little over a year ago but other than that, everything is still stock.

Bought my 2000 limited 3rd gen 4runner in 2002 with 24k miles on it. It now has 255k miles.

-Head gasket blew and caused one of the heads to crack at 235k.
-Brake booster failed at 250k.
-Bushings (power steering, sway bar, upper & lower control arms) cracked and splitting at 250k.
