How many miles on your 4runner?

I have an opportunity for a 99 4runner with 224k miles for $4,600. I just love this car overall but a little affraid with the mileage. Checked the Carfax report and impossible to verify the maintenance. The carfax report only shows 2 minor accidents. It is in very good shape though. The car was bought at an auction by the dealership.
What's the reasonable life expectancy for such a car with considering a medium maintenance on the car?

I finally purchased a 2000 with 188K miles this morning for $5,200. It is in really good shape, well maintained and 1 owner. Very glad to join the club :-D

Just got my 98 Limited 4x4 about a month ago, it has 165,xxx on it. Previous owner did the full timing belt job at 158,000 and I am doing a rear 3rd member rebuild along with seals and brakes right now. Factory exhaust had rotted off and the rear bumper is rusted through. I can't wait to get it all back together and enjoy it!

227k on my 1997 SR5! replaced rear shocks, timing belt, water pump, rusted bumpers, valve cover gaskets etc. As of now she is spotless and i love it. however its winter in CT now so i have to deal with the salted roads plan to keep her going forever and if the person who posted second on this thread still reads this, I HAVe NOT CHANGED MY POWER STEERING RACk AND PINION EVER! lol

237K on my 98 Limited. Original Engine, transmission, water pump, radiator. Replaced timing belt twice and Catalytic converter once. Routine maintenance pays off!!

Just purchased my 98 4runner SR5 with 148000 miles. It still had original timing belt, water pump, t stat and possibly spark plugs. I changed all of the mentioned and she's running like a champ.

Have 148,000 miles on my 2000 4Runner with no problems yet? My old 88' had 417,000+ miles on it when the water pump went and I sold not long after, had a bad rear main seal and leaky oil pan gasket and never had the engine apart.

i am proud to say that my 99 limited has 135k, still full of life left in her too, if you have bought one used and it was cared for or new and cared for it yourself, then they will go for well over 200k, if they have not been taken care of, its a waiting game, maybe 100k, maybe 150k, maybe 200k, never know.

214K and most of it is all original, except for 1 alternator, some tires, brakes, fluids, filters, bulbs... oh rear axle seals too. but nothing other than just preventative maintenance items.
