My parents bought me a 2001 4runner and its coming up on 100k
My sister, however, has a 2002 4runner that has is originally owned by my family and it has 215k miles. Runs strong and has never had a problem. The drive is nearly identical, I think the only real difference is that my steering feels tighter and more accurate than hers. As far as performance, her 4runner still runs great.

FYI,

My 97 T100 3.4 (sold sep 2009) had 236k on it. The guy who bough tit has email me twice since the purchase with pictures of it all over teh country now with over 310k still NO problems. Parts that I replaced on it. Idler 7 Pitman arm, timing belt w/water pump, plugs, fluids, and one hub bearing.

My 92 FJ80 (sold to Outrider Off-Raod last year) has over 300k. I know this is a diffrent machine all together, but lets face it, Toyota has this rep for a reason.

Dont skimp ont the normal services and you will fly past 300K

Got my 1997 4Runner in May with 179600 Km on the dial. That is aprox 111600 miles. I guess it is pretty low mileage from what I read on this topic.

the difference in steering could simply be from different tires...:thumb3:

Paint: original body paint still looks great. WAX every 3 months.

175,000 on my 1999 SRF 3.4, oil, water pump, had to replace my upper and lower intake gaskets, plugs and wires, started putting lucas hd oil stabilizer two oil changes ago, oh yea and a radiator, but that was my exs fault, she put w/wshr fluid in the coolant resv while i was gone 4 3 months in vegas and busted it... Women ugh
