How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

Just a heads up, I drove past Concord Toyota (California) and there were a lot of new trucks and 4Runners on the lot. For the past year and a half, it’s been pretty empty.

Check it out if you’re in the market.

I have been looking for a specific model since the TRD Sport was announced October 2021. When they started hitting the lot in December 2021 i started looking heavily. Called the three major dealers within 80 miles and told them what i wanted, but we have not been able to order a 4Runner since Jan 2022 so i have been on a hunt / wait game.
I wanted a white 4x4 TRD Sport with Premium Audio and Technology package and Automatic Running boards. This has been incredibly difficult to find as very VERY few are built with the auto running boards, and even fewer in white 4x4 with the EE, TP, and KG together. The dealers were an absolute bust for the first 6 months of 2022. I started looking constantly, every other day i would search the internet for new listings. I eventually figured out how to crack the moroney vin sheets and started looking for VINs built with my specs. Somewhere around December 2022 they locked the moroney page down where you had to pay to view window stickers so i changed up my tactics. I went to TOYOTA.COM and found the part where you can build your own vehicle, after building your vehicle you can search for vehicles matching your build up to 500 miles from your ZIP code.
toyota.com/search-inventory/model/4runner/?trim
Once you learn how to use this, you can put in all your parts and packages you want and search every dealer within a 500 mile radius. I used a radius tool to figure out 500 mile radius and figured out which ZIP codes i needed to use to scan the whole US east to west and i did it every single day until i finally found the package i wanted. I came across a few here and there but when i called the dealer they were either pre-sold or the dealer automatically wanted +$5000 over sticker and wouldnt budge on price.
I literally searched every single day, changing the zip code in this search tool to scan across the whole country looking for this 4Runner i wanted. In July 2023 i finally found one, at a dealer in Tuscon Arizona. I called the dealer instantly and got a salesman on the phone immediately and explained who i was, and what i found, and what i wanted.
To his surprise, they didnt have it in their system yet, the allocations had been done but their dealership still had not even gotten their email confirming the allocations so this salesman didnt even have the VIN or info in his system.
I still told him
"you are getting this vehicle, its on your allocation, here is the VIN, here are the specs, i want it"
I had to pay MSRP to get it, they would not budge on the price, no discounts, no cash discounts, no rebates, zero.... So i still ended up with what i wanted and had to fly 1500 miles west to go pick it up. It came in last Friday, i flew out Saturday, drove it home Saturday and Sunday, got home and pulled it in the shop and lifted it, aligned it, and put on its new shoes that i had waiting for it.
Old one and new one pictured.

My local no haggle dealer is doing $2200 off MSRP on all models except TRD PRO. I paid MSRP six months ago, looks like I picked just the wrong time

She's a beaut, Clark!!!

I love it!

Going to put a deposit on a Terra PRO. Dealer is marking it up $995 for it being a PRO, but took all of the port installed options off. So it's MSRP + doc fee + $995 + TTT

We're in the market for a 4Runner. Still narrowing down what we are looking for. Wife will be driving it and it won't be an offroader. Not sure on new or a few years old. Either SR-5 premium or limited. Curious if there are dealers in the midwest that do better on pricing now that prices seem to be softening a bit.

Anyone have a current list of 2024 option codes or know where to find them? Looking for a new ORP and want to build out the specs with specific codes to email blast potential dealers.

Thanks!

I have a 2005 4Runner Limited , didn’t know about this Forum until too late.
Great body, engine has 125 k miles on it.
You all know what’s coming, rusted frame.
Anyone looking for a project or a parts car? It’s the grey color.
I’m in the Canyon Lake,Texas area

I paid $42,500 in September 2020 OTD for a brand new TRD ORP W/KDSS
Dealer keeps sending me offers to buy back, last one was $38,700
Only has 24K mi, not interested in trading a vehicle that is paid for.

I'm going to start looking for a new 4-Runner in February, or when we get some nice days in January here in the DFW area. Dealers look like they have several on there lots for sale. I will probably be a hard sale as I worked for a Chevrolet dealer for some 35 years in management, so I understand the total working of a dealership. I will be looking for that out the door price, possible traded in, and cash buying, unless Toyota has a finance percent incentive that would be better then what I can get on my investments. I have no problems going to a dealership and working the sales force over and over again, I can drive off the lot without feeling good, or bad about the deal, and knowing they will be calling me back with a better offer. I will have my poker face on and never show, or answer any of there leed in questions, to give them any info for them to take control. Plus I will never buy any thing they try to sell you in the finance office, just a waste of money, never did, never will. Oh, and one last thing, I'm a nice guy and will give them all the respect that they give me.

Pricing is definitely softening up. Now Toyota just needs to get competitive on their interest rates and terms, and they should if demand returns to "normal" and supply continues to increase. I bought my '04 4Runner new in Aug '04 with zero down and 0.9% interest over 5 yrs. using Toyota financing. How do you say no to that?! To frame this economically, conventional 30-yr home loans were around 5.875% and CDs were paying in the low 1% and about to spike temporarily.

I was able to get $1500 off MSRP on a 23 ORP a couple of months ago, plus a $750 manufacturer rebate. I probably could have negotiated a little more but I was so surprised they were willing to negotiate it threw me off a little, plus I needed a vehicle asap so I couldn't play any games.

The dealer had about 20 on the lot, which was unusual, so I think they just had a temporary influx of inventory which helped and also the fact that '24 was fast approaching.

Bought my ORP on 12/04/2023 at California bay area. OTD price is $48K.

Nice, but I assume that's before taxes and license? Here in LA that works out to another 10+%....almost $5k in taxes alone...crazy....wish it wasn't so impossible to buy out of state.
