going to check out and possibly pick up a 2016 4runner TE for 38.5k + TTL = approx 42k OTD in the bay area, CA.

I just picked up a 16 trd pro in the Bay Area as well. Went to victory Toyota and got it for 49k out the door. Got the pro for 42750 and then paid 6000 in taxes and fees. Dang California tax is a killer! I went to 4 different dealerships and called who knows how many and all of them wanted 5k over Msrp so I was stoked to find a dealer near me had one coming in 2 days and there was no deposit on it yet! I feel I got pretty lucky with an Msrp price and no wait.

Edit: sorry I actually paid 46780 OTD. I got the total price paid including interest from the life of the loan confused with the actual purchase price. Facepalm. On a side note I know this thread is about OTD price but just curious if anyone did a 6yr loan and what your interest rate was. I ended up going thru my credit union and they gave me 2.74 percent and will drop it to 2.5 if I sign up for autopay.

Give Melody Toyota a look up in the Bay Area if you don't snag that car you are looking at. Got my 4R TE from there. Great team to work with and cut right to the chase with everything. Didn't have to sit long hours and worked with me to get the price to where I wanted.

Stay away from Putnam Toyota though. Had a nightmare there with looking for a 4R.

Finally picked up a 2015 TE w/KDSS and Entune for $35,200. Was brand new left over from last year, obviously. Also recieved a Toyota extended warranty to 125k miles bumper to bumper, 0 deductible and an added on warranty that covers tire damage, glass damage and paint scratches and door dings small dents etc. Seems like a pretty decent deal to me.

Seems like a sweet deal. What would've been the price before the warranty?

Couldn't afford the extra $$$ for a Limited due to our family expenses coming up but was very excited to pick up a 2016 SR5 premium with remote engine start (which I find to be entertaining as it shuts off when you unlock), additional tint for the driver and passenger, 3rd row, chrome tip, running boards and roof rails for $34.5 +TTL. Added 5yrs/100K for $1500.

Just picked up a 2016 Black TE w/KDSS, roof rack, exhaust tip, all weather floor mats, and prem audio for $37,5 + TTL here in Denver. Was just about right in the middle of the Truecar and Edmund value amount for this area, so I feel good about it!

My first 4runner, pretty excited. Still own a 99' TRD Offroad Tacoma 4x4... probably time to sell it though. That will be a hard day :doh:

That's not too bad. I was at a dealer off the Katy freeway on Saturday that had a trail premium those extras plus etched glass windows and the clear bra stuff with an MSRP of $42k. Guy said he was firm in the price and I told him "hey, if you can get it, then get it but your certainly not getting it from me." I only wanted to check out the trail as I hadn't been in one yet anyway. If I could get one without the red stitching I'd be game, but seeing as im not a hard core offroader id rather go with the SR5P.

ah yeah putnam has some bad eggs as far as sales go, I am going to check out melody toyota as they accept the costco auto program. Do you remember who you worked with buying your 4runner and if you dont mind me asking what did you pay?

When I was looking for mine last year I really liked Stevens Creek Toyota down in San Jose. I was working with one of the Internet guys Jason Xie. I decided to buy in Maryland to save $1500 in tax since I still have a house there I could register it to and was moving x-country. If I was still in the Bay Area I would have bought from him, he beat all of the True Car and Costco pricing and was really straightforward and knowledgeable to work with.

I got lucky through the process as my family and I have bought a bunch of cars from their sister dealerships since they are owned by a larger coorporation, so I was able to work personally and directly with the GM of Melody Toyota up here.

I honestly didn't want all that extra stuff in there except the KDSS, but that was all he could find, and I got antsy to buy it. He searched personally with his team non-stop and found a car within 24 hours for me (which is hard up here because dealerships don't want to give them up). The entire process was quick and easy and I was out of there the fastest I have ever been through a dealership.

Not sure if it was the best deal...but looks to be about average for the price paid according to TrueCar.com. Even if I didn't get an amazing deal, the customer service was top notch and the time I spent there was minimal so to me that an equate to a few extra bucks spent.

I guess whats done is done though haha.

The costco route is a good deal for sure though, those were the best deals I saw around from any of the dealerships when I was comparing pricing.

I finally found what I was looking for, sr5, 4x4, with the 3rd row. Msrp was 38500 and paid 34500. The true car helped me out a lot with the shopping to find the best deal.
