Hi you guys,

Just picked up a 2016 trail in Canada. Was a Demo model with 7,300 km on it.

MSRP was 46,010 cdn got it for 42,500 cdn. The dealer threw in a bunch of little things like cargo matt, trailer hitch, mugs and they plasi dipped the emblems black and a few other things.

Wife and I are really happy with it.

In the SF Bay Area dealers have an arm up with the TRD Pro and Trails models. In SF there is a '15 TRDP with 16k miles is listed for $48k. Crazy.

Was told today by the Costco dealership today that their pricing is $500 over invoice but 'better deals can be had'. This was after I applied for Costco pricing in St. Louis.

What should be a 'target' price relative to invoice or msrp?

I started shopping through Costco in Sam Bruno Ca, they told me the MSRP was $41k for a trail, and the invoice was $38k when the actual invoice price is around $36.4k... I ended up using True Car/USAA for pricing. Worked out well.

The sticker on my 2016 TE was $38,840 with destination. The dealer I bought it from didn't have a dealer fee. For options, it has:
Entune premium audio with navigation (if I remember correctly, this was $1300 or so)
Running boards ($500 down the toilet, I took them off)
Toyoguard Elite ($750 or so)
Then once we started doing paperwork, I added:
Roof rack cross bars ($250 or so)
All weather floor mats($180?)
All weather trunk mat($100)
So, I'm guessing sticker with all that would be about $39,400. Leasing for 3 years @$221 a month. $15k down and a 1999 4Runner Limited 4x2 with 203k for trade. They gave me ~$2000. Purchased at Sun Toyota in Holiday, FL

Just went to the dealer yesterday and allocated a blue sr5 4x4 base model. Only 1 coming to the gulf states next week but getting the next round in late April. Even then, only a handful of blue 4x4s coming in. Did all me negotiating via email and finally met the dealer yesterday.

So we're at 33,9 +TTL. 37k OTD. debating whether to have distribution in Houston install TRD rims for extra 954 and dealership would add ko2 but no quote yet. Then all there is left to do for me is install TRD grill and plastidip emblems. Then I'm done...maybe.

Im in houston as well. Blue was tough to find. I wanted the SR5 premium 4x4 and the only ones they could get had the third row in it which I didnt want. I settled on gray. It wasnt my first choice but it was a a close second.

2016 SR5 4X4 Base with Nav ... 34K +TTL.... Negations took about 5 min... signed papers and was out in less than 1.5 hrs!

We ordered it and it took about 2 weeks to get there. Also we decided we didnt want all that crap the dealer tries to put on there and just charge you more for like the paint protection and all the other little things.....

My wife and I were both very happy!

I paid $34,660 yesterday for a 2016 SR5 4x4 without all the added Gulf States Toyota options added onto it. I ordered some TE running boards for it and I'm done.

Trading my 2014 Tundra TRD crewmax limited 4x4 with 34K miles EVEN for a new 16" TEP with remote start w/o KDSS. Includes 4 boxes in the back with black TRD wheels. Plus I have the originals and tires.

When I was looking for mine I noticed that here in MN TRDs were selling for on average 1500 over MSRP. Was able to find one dealer who was selling them for MSRP and went for it. Not a great price, but they are so hard to find here I didn't think I was going to do any better. Especially when used ones in the Chicago area were selling for more than new MSRP.

42,670 plus tax for 2016 trd pro. Sliding cargo tray and some useless protection package installed by either the distributor or the dealer brought the sticker to 44,000. They threw in some free n fabs when I *****ed about the useless 700 in paint sealant and I bit knowing I didn't want to wait any longer and discounts were fairly tough to come by on them.

I'm willing to fly to Nevada or Oregon and drive the thing back. The California dealerships are gouging folks.

I got a SR5P at Capitol Toyota in Salem OR for $36.3K. At that difference there's plenty for you to pay to have it shipped or fly up and grab it yourself.

Just curious as to why you would put $15k down on a 3 year lease instead of towards a purchase?

You might look into a Canadian purchase. US dollar is strong now and is worth $1.31 in Canadian dollar conversion.

SFBay area. I was able to get one for my parents a couple of weeks back at invoice. Toyota is willing to work out deals for SR5's just not other models.

I bought my 2014 in December last year. SR5 with 9200 miles and paid $33k from Carvana. It was an awesome experience buying from them and I doubt I'll ever go to a dealer again.
