How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

We bought our 2015 Trail w/ KDSS and Entune w/navigation for $36,911 before ttl. My out the door was considerably less because we traded my husband's Tundra in on it.

With extended warranty, ttl, but before trade in was $38,995.

bought yesterday -
New mag gray Limited w/ cargo cross bars, carpeted floor and cargo mat, and remote start. MSRP and build price 44,414. Paid dealer 42,500. - no sales tax in MT and registration/plates paid separately to state. 12,500 cash and financed 30k at 3.99% - will pay off by end of year. Not great deal but got tired of back and forth as they were whining about transport etc. as they did not have it on the lot - 7-10 days I was told. They worked every angle I can think of but only mentioned ext. warranty and lifetime main. in passing and said wasn't interested. Think they were worried they may loose sale at that point. They made money, I got what I wanted, fair deal - but it took twice as long as it should.

Your taxable basis is going to be lower too because you're only taxed on the difference in value between your Tundra and the your 4R. I paid less before TTL than you did for basically the same truck, but I didn't have a trade so the great state of AZ stuck it to me on sales tax.

2015 Toyota 4Runner Trail Premium with KDSS in Silver.

Using TrueCar - $37,950 + $99 fee = $38,049
Add Tax 6.5%, Title and blood = the real OTD price of $41,363.88

So far only in for $500 on a refundable deposit.

Now I wait until they find the one I want. I am not going to order a 2015 from factory this late in the year and will just have to wait for 2016 orders to start. Although I highly doubt much will change but the addition of real time tire pressure monitor (Prius has it!) and more add-on options since the FJ is no longer their adventure seller.

Side note: $38,000 for Trail Premium with KDSS was the ballpark in the 30+ dealers I talked to all over the country. Main reason it is rare to find. I really debated going for one without KDSS but in the long run I think I will be happier with getting it. I don't have garage clearance to do any lift or suspension mods. 2015 Trail without KDSS average was $36,392 + $299 "paperwork fee" = $36,691 in fact the dealship 3 miles from me have a silver 2015 TEP without KDSS on the lot. I hate they offer the option at all!!

Yep, tax was $2085 on 28995. One of the few times something has worked in our favor on a vehicle purchase.

Trail Edition with KDSS & NAV

Here's what I got using the Costco buyer program:
One dealer in the LA area near me is the Costco rep, as far as I can tell.
At the dealership I was quoted an MSRP of $38,655 for the Trail Edition with KDSS and NAV.
Invoice cost was stated as $36,245.16 including delivery.
They offered $800 under invoice, or $35,445, + TTL.
I'd already priced the same vehicle with my local dealer's internet sales department at $600 over invoice, or about $36,800 to $37,000. The Costco deal was $1400 less so naturally I took it, drove across town and made a deposit. We were done in a matter of minutes.

They took a deposit for the car I want, a basic TE in magnetic grey, and will order it from Toyota factory in Japan, since they could not find the car in California.

I got a call from the salesman today that Toyota excepted the offer to build the basic Trail Edition without the NAV (I don't want it) but the order input required they check off at least one option, so they picked the floor carpets. That's fine by me and the price will be about $250 lower. I can use the floor mats but don't want the NAV. If they can remove the floor mats and deduct the cost I will order the Husky mats and save another $100 or so. At that the price would be $35085 + TTL. The dealer says to expect the vehicle in 12 to 14 weeks.

What do you folks think of the MSRP and Invoice prices? Are they legit'? I've seen the same vehicle all over the southwest, from San Diego to Las Vegas to Sacramento, with an MSRP of $39,000

I think Yume was referring to Dealer Installed Options, or "D/O" as they called it.

Notice the "Installed Options: $1,827.00" near the top, following the color. There should have been a line break there. Doing a quick check, the difference in MSRP and total price is about $1800.

Just brought home a 2015 Trail Edition in Super White with running boards, floor/cargo mats, entune, and cargo cross bar. $36,500 OTD. MSRP was $37,525.

That's a good price. MSRP is around $37,615 in So Cal. One problem though. You can't have a 3rd row seat and the sliding cargo tray. They occupy the same space in the cargo area floor.

Is that 2 wheel drive or 4WD?

Picked it up today. No hassles. Also, my truck wasnt on the lot. They sourced it and got it exactly the way I wanted it.

I talked to my salesman, Brody, who was excellent and he said he could repeat the deal for any of my friends. You are all my friends! Let me know if you want his number.

Also to be perfectly clear he also removed all the gulf states garbage so the $1401 option price went down to ~$400 for just the factory installed nav radio. But they had already installed the tint, nitrogen tires, etc so it was easier just to give it to me than take it off.

I couldn't be happier with the sales process, or the truck!
