I love it to death, but my only ***** is that I paid close to $50k for a T4R and I get Halogen lights. Are you ****ing kidding me?

Stuck @ 2.9% and can't get anybody to work with me!

The fact these things don't have HIDs drives me nuts.

I agree with the guy who said OTD price is the only way to negotiate.
Was the last day of the month, and they ended up taking a hit on it ($4500 under MSRP). The other dealership I was working with said there is no way that included taxes and tag and fees. But sure enough, it included everything and I'm stoked!

Dont want to start any debates and the projectors in the facelift helps, but they are still halogen projectors, not HID so you won't see as good of a result because of the shape of the cone in a halogen projector vs HID.

negotiated for them to include:

all season mats
all season cargo mat
running boards

Paid - $36,200 -- hope that helps for anyone looking.. picking it up this week and pretty excited! hopefully i didnt get taken that bad

I bought a TEP a few weeks ago...dealer had TRD wheels on it and I was scrambling on my phone to figure out the upcharge.

While I'm sure my deal isn't in the ballpark of what others are negotiating, I did use the following strategy to close the deal for an additional $1000 off.

Lock in that price or wherever you're comfortable and sell your vehicle privately.

Dealer offered me $7,000 for my trade. Autotrader instant cash inspected offer was $10,000. I sold privately on CL for $10,800 with very little effort.

LOL...that would be a rocking VIP price in MN.

As for the trade-in, you really need to calculate the tax benefit in your state. For a $15,000ish trade-in, that's around $2000 LESS taxes to pay.

i.e. you would need to find a private buyer for $17,000 and then deal with all of the bullshit/paperwork/etc.

Pretty well established... If you go with the dealer with a trade they'll either try to get you on the price of the new truck or the price of your trade. At the dealer you can't have your cake and it eat too.

If you're willing to do the work to sell privately it's the best course of action because you will have already negotiated rock bottom pricing on the new truck - the price the dealership has committed to. This is how I got 5k+ off my '15 LE ... And then I turned around and said "no thanks" for their trade offer and sold privately. YMMV and it is a bit of work with with it IMO.

I'm trying to find a 4x4 Limited using TrueCar, their price is 39,533 with sliding cargo tray in the Fort Mill area. Do you know how much taxes you paid to have the vehicle registered in SC

They took that 1500 from the trade in and showed it to you on the new car.... If there was 1500 even there. I was getting trade offers 2-3k below kbb and nada on my trade. If it's not a car they can retail they give you auction prices minus 500-1000.

Its a 2010 BMW 328i under 50k miles with 18" upgrade bmw wheels, sport pkg, bi xenon, premium package, sat. Only option missing is NAV and Cold Weather. I see it posted on autotrader going for up to $21k with more miles. Realistic selling for party seems be to be in then $18k range, trade in in the $15k range. This dealer is a clown. I am actually more pissed now. Hahaha.

Sell the car your self and you will get an extra 3-4k easy - not hard and I did it recently - good luck

Toyota dealers were going to send my Touareg to auction and wouldn't retail it... It has literally every feature including air ride which is hard to find and sought after. They are retailing for 19.5-21 and I couldn't get a Toyota dealer to offer me more than 14.5.

They won't give you a price based on them retailing it if they are going to send it to auction. Hence the low offer. Its just business. As everyone else has said, sell it yourself.... But theres no reason to get mad at them. Just walk on the deals.
