How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

Brand new, non KDSS. Cloth seats, entune, nav, etc. I had anther dealer willing to do one with KDSS for $1200 more, but i did not want kdss.

Depends. Dealers refused to trade TE Premium trucks with KDSS to my local dealer for me when I was looking. Maybe non premium TEs without KDSS are harder to move. You also didn't say if you had a trade or not.

My best advice is to visit multiple dealers, tell them what you want, and ask for the best price. You'll get a pretty good idea if your region is dealing based on that.

The trade is irrelevant. The selling price of the vehicle was 32,900.

Bought a 2016 Trail for $36980 before California taxes and DMV fees with the following options:

Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (Kdss) (KD), Radio: Entune Premium Audio With Navigation (EE-0), Keep It Wild Savings (QB), Remote Engine Starter (V4-0), Carpet Floor Mats & Carpet Cargo Mat (CF)

I bought through USAA and it was an easy process.

Is it a fair assumption that one cannot do much better than the pricing through Costco?

That's not true at all. Costco had my 2016 TE at $37,750 +TTL. We were able to negotiate down to $35,850 +TTL. Go in with game plan and stick with it.

Did you trade a vehicle? If yes, it is relevant. If no, you are correct, that sale price is the sale price.

No the trade is not relevant. The price of the 4Runner was 32,900. Period. All a trade does is change the amount financed. I never told you what my out the door COST was because it does not matter. As it has been discussed, taxes, fees, etc will vary from state to state, so all of those numbers are irrelevant.

So, what was the msrp of this vehicle?

A trade is only irrelevant if you didn't have one. Did you have one?

Wrong. Feel free to read my above reply. Otherwise, I do not feel like going back and forth with people that do not understand how a car purchase works.

I'm really jealous of all of you. I had two dealers call me today with rock bottom prices to close before the end of the year. One was just under $40k for a tep w/kdss, the other was $43k for a 4wd no-option le. I'm about ready to give up!

I think what others are thinking is that the trade in value helped reduce the overall price of the vehicle since the dealer could possibly recoup some $ after selling it...but what you are saying is the trade only further reduced your finance amount ($32.9k minus trade).

Pricing depends on demand and in some areas, demand is high and thus dealers can get what they ask. Where are you located?

what was the MSRP on your Trail? My SR5 non-premium was $38.9k (if I remember correctly) so I was thrilled I got mine for $33.7k. Could not find any Trails for anything less cause of the whole Southeast package that is added in my area.

I live in Florida but drove 2.5 hours to South Carolina to get it. I understand what you're saying for the dealer trying to recoup losses on the trade. I did not let them know I had a trade until after I agreed on a bottom line number for the 4Runner.

Buying 2 4runners tomorrow, an SR5 Premium and a Trail Premium. Got both for $2500 off msrp and remote start added in the deal.

Just out of curiosity, what did you trade in and how much did you get for it?
