Hey I bought a 2015 TE with KDSS in LA recently and over about 2 months of shopping (was looking for a lightly used bargain but didn't find it). I probably overpaid slightly for my TE at $37,000, but they had the color and KDSS that I wanted and I just wanted to get it done quickly. If you are willing to wait until the end of the month and hit up Longo, Keyes or one of the other larger dealers, you can usually get a great deal. They are always looking to make a sales target at the end of the month and will do a lot to get you to purchase on the last Sunday of the month that they might not be willing to do on the first Monday of the month.
I bought mine at a small dealer in Long Beach - Cabe - and the customer service was incredible. By far the best dealer experience i have had. I live near Pasadena so I did everything over the phone and they really had me in and out with all the paperwork in an hour and a half. They don't carry a lot of 4runners, but if they get the one you want they will make you a great deal.
If you go to Longo or Keyes, prepare to work with terrible sales people who don't know a sway bar from a steering wheel, but you might get the best price as they just care about volume.
Ive got a deal working on a SR5 premium 4x4 in blue with tube steps and floor mats for 36,100 before ttt. 38,800 OTD. This price is about $1k below the "great price" that true car says I can get. Anyone have any thoughts on this price and any thoughts on what my target before tax should be? Ive only been dealing with one other dealer in Houston and they say they will match the price which tells me I can get more out of them.

I'm looking for the same SR5 premium, 4x4, but with a 3rd row and I'm looking in SA and Houston on the true car. You looking for a 3rd row too? $38800 otd seems good.
No third row. Ill have to drive a bit to get it at that price because the dealer is well north of Austin. If I can only get a dealer to match I'll stick with this dealer as it's a friendly "hookup" (im still trying to figure out if it really is a hookup). The deal is certainly fair I think but if i can do better im going to.

Yeah, I think it could be better. I think if that was a 3rd row for 38800, then it would be good/fair deal. I'm will to drive to Houston or SA if I can find the deal I want.

Before i traded my 2014 TRD Tundra I was quoted 38,500 2016 trail premium, but i didnt like the shifting gear to change to 4h 4l. I was quoted 37,300 OTD 2016 sr5 premium with remote start, running boards, front protective film, all around all rubber mat, full tank and i got what i want for my trade in. My tundra cost more than my loan - positive equity. I think it depends the location where you purchased the vehicle. I drove 2.5 hours. I think yours is good too.
That seems like a sweet deal that I'd love to get. I have seen some really awesome prices in this thread but once a trade in is mixed in its hard to tell what was really paid for a vehicle. I am not buying until the end of March so I still have some time. I have quite a few dealers around here so I'm going to see what I can do.

We're in the gulf states Toyota territory, so no KDSS here (unfortunately) as standard equipment. It's an option and not in the typical allocation. I could have went to Kansas & got it there as standard. I don't get the whole KDSS in some regions but not others. The T4R is pretty sweet. Hope you get one!

You have plenty of time to think. Suggestion, if you'll get snow or rain alot, get the limited AWD. 4WD is fine, but you have to switch the 4wd knob every now and then. If only i knew this is how the 4runner 4wd works i should have gone with subaru or pilot or highlander or the limited.

Switching the knob isn't the problem. Its what you get after the engagement. An old Willy's jeep 4wd system.

All of our vehicles currently are AWD. This is the only 4wd, Ive read good things too, but mostly not good. If only i knew, like i said above, should have gone with the limited.

By going through AOL Autoblog website (truecar powered), I was able to secure a 2016 silver trail premium with KDSS and rear cargo deck options.
Total options per toyota website showed MSRP at $41,380.
The AOL Autoblog website garnered a $3,148 discount to MSRP, so $38,232 plus tax/tag/title puts it out the door at $41,570. Should be here in about 2 weeks.
I still think its a lot of money and I'm not sure if that is the greatest deal but was better than I could find most anywhere for a silver, premium trail with KDSS.
