How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

I wonder what it would be in inflation adjusted dollars?
Mazda's new ND miata is the same price, in inflation adjusted dollars, as the original 25 years ago. I don't believe that holds true with options though [of course there are options available that weren't even available back then].

Random story about Marin Toyota. I bought my 2004 Tacoma (that I just sold a few weeks back before purchasing a 2016 4runner) used from there in 2006. I walk on the lot, and this guy comes up and asks how he can help, I tell him I'm looking at a pair of Tacomas on the lot, yada yada yada, and he says "Ok great, they call me karate Jim, wanna know why?"
I started to walk away right there, but he still blurts out "BECAUSE I CHOP CHOP CHOP THE PRICE" complete with karate kicks and chops.
Needless to say, karate Jim proved to be just ok at karate, but I did end up with the truck I wanted.

Just bought a 2016 TEP Black on Graphite for 37,500 before TTL. Unfortunately for me it's still on a boat on it's way over....The wait is gonna kill me!
Where? And with what options? I'm in Georgia and looking for a TEP.

Now that's funny. Yes, it was Marin's truck.
Finally joining the crew. I got my trail with KDSS for $35,890 ($39,374 MSRP) before taxes and such. It took a few weeks and multiple dealers, but I got it done. I had a trade so it took a while to find a great deal + good deal on the trade. The 4Runner was sitting for a little while so it has 160 miles on it, but I'm not worried. If it starts acting up in 60k miles I will move on. I pick it up Monday, it will be a long weekend!

Bought from Newnan Toyota, they were willing to beat anyone's price. Only option I added was the remote start.

Was at Toyota Marin in northern California, but he was more than likely living the high life in Marin.
Put in my order today for an SR5 premium 4x4 in magnetic grey. It is coming with tube steps and floor mats for $36,185 before TTL. No trade or financing at the dealer. Im pretty sure its the best price I could get. I blasted every dealer in Houston and many were straight up saying they couldn't touch the offer I got at an out of town dealer. Others said they could match but when it came down to it their managers supposedly said they couldn't. So I'll be taking a three hour drive to pick it up next weekend. Can't wait!
finalized the deal today for a Trail Edition Premium with kdss and almost every other option you could imagine for $40k+TTL

Congrats neighbor! I had a deposit on that exact car with Brian, but wife and I decided on a different color. Glad it found a home from a T4R.org member.
