Ya thats typical atleast in my experience. I drove all around and when they said that I laughed and walked away. I went all the way out to San Bernardino Toyota for my 4Runner. I got the 4x4 SR5 premium with 3rd row, convenience package and a few other things for 38k OTD. The sticker was just north of $40k but that dealership gives 3yr 36k miles of Toyota care no cost. Not sure if its the best deal but I am happy with it.

I purchased a regular Trial with KDSS last year for 36k plus tax. I think you should be able to get a better price. Check current pricing on TrueCar - good luck

yes that's a normal social quote (not a normal price anywhere else).

Expect markup on Trail Premiums that they try to sell like they are TRDPROs and with the scarcity of TRDPROs, expect heavy mark up. There just aren't a lot of them around SoCal.

Dont know what tax in your state is but TX is 6.25%. I'm getting a "discounted internet price" of 35k. With TTL comes to 38,3. I'm in no rush so I'm dealing with multiple dealers via email. I think that process is much easier and I got paper trails too.

3.25% sales tax here but that doesn't matter - I would shoot for 34,250-34,500 for a Trial without KDSS. I think KDSS is around 1,700.

I wanted the trail or the TRD pro but I just had to have the 3rd row.... Since then I've upgraded it with Bilstein 6112/5160; 2"ICON rear coils; TRD Pro rims; BFG 285's. I was able to negotiate the invoice to 32,500 before TTL. Hope this helps other lurkers as a starting point.

Hi, T4R 5th Gen folks! New guy here from Ohio.

Well, I poked in all my information on Costco's car buying site a bit ago, and within 30 seconds, the local dealer called ready to take my money!

So hopefully before the end of April (when the car show $500 discount expires) I'll be sporting a 2016 Trail Premium w/KDSS in Midnight Black! Once they find a vehicle, I'll post the details on the cost, but the contact guy said it would be right at invoice less the $500.

Looks nice! I planning the same suspension setup on my sr5. I already have the TRD wheels and the BFG ko's but I have the 275's wasn't sure if 285's would rub with 2" all around. How does the set up ride?

I had a friend at a dealership in Ohio looking for KDSS trucks. Everything in Ohio was without KDSS. You might have to head out of state.

Quoted $36,555 on a TE, no kdss. Not sure what options it has yet, it is still in route on the boat and the dealer is supposed to call me today and let me know when it will be here. MSRP is $38,942.
