How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

Considering how many there are around here I thought it was a good deal, and 30k with tax savings for my 2012 ram sport crew 4x4.
I get a new vehicle every 3-4 years so this time I went with white. Always liked a white vehicle, but never bought one because of the rust specks you get in the winter. going to blacknowledge out the ugly (imo) silver pieces on front and rear bumbers plus the bar in the grill. Basically lime the trd pro we cannot get here in canada.

It seems like a Trail Premium with KDSS averages about $39k-$40k based on this thread, TrueCar.com, and Edmunds.com. Would you guys agree?
I'm in Houston, looking for a TEP w/ KDSS and prefer to include the cargo tray. I have one offer from a dealer for $41,000. It sounds like I should be justified in asking for $39k, though it also seems like these Trails with KDSS are rare to find (driving the price up).
I'd like advice and if anyone knows of a dealer within Houston/Austin/SA/Dallas range that could get me a deal under $40k I'd appreciate the info. Of course I have been stalking around looking for a 5th gen used with KDSS, but it seems crazy to spend over $30k on a used vehicle where you have no idea what the owner may have done to it.

If you are a member of Costco, buy through them. I just picked up my TEP w/KDSS and the mats/cargo liner for $38,771

I suppose it would be worth the membership fee if I knew it would all work out. How long does it take from the time you place the order to having the car ready to pick up? Is it guaranteed that you can configure a new vehicle with exactly the options you want in this kind of deal with Costco?
When I went to their site and put in the info for a new TEP 4Runner and clicked "Locate Dealer", it returned this message:
I guess I don't really understand how this Costco program works.

Yep, it requires a case buy.
You started right. After submitting the form, your local participating Toyota dealer will contact you. They will search for incoming vehicles to match your request, and if not, order one for you. Mine took exactly two months, and it was not technically an order, but more an allocation they traded from another dealer. It was already in the schedule, but not built yet.
Costco's price on the 4Runner is apparently invoice price. Mine was a little less due to a delay in shipping that caused the vehicle to get here a day after the Cleveland Auto Show $500 Bonus Cash incentive ran out. (It was for "in stock vehicles", and mine was not technically in stock yet.) The dealer cut into their holdback to cover about 2/3 of the difference.

Right Toyota in Arizona has a Trail/kdss in silver, but it is not a premium model. I think you could drive out this one for under $39K including airfare and gas.

I paid $37K for my Trail w/KDSS, all weather mats, and crossbars in Denver. I'm surprised dealers are discounting these as much as they are. 4Runners and Tacomas are flying off the lots here.

I was surprised also with my $2557 discount, I know for a fact Tacoma's receive $0 or very very very close to that in discounts, combined with a lot higher interest rates. Even when the 2016's came out they didn't discount the leftover 2015's last fall. But like the salesman said, they all sold just as quick.

I am looking at possibly getting a 2016 T4R. I am trying to decide between the SR5 Premium or the Limited.
I like the idea of the Limited especially for the cooled seats (since I live in Texas), but I am not sure how well they work. My 2015 F150 has cooled seats and the seat bottom cools like crazy but the seat back actually would get over 100 degrees until a fix came out which now after the fix they don't get hot, but certainly don't cool like the seat bottom (reaches 65degrees).
I would appreciate some feed back to how you think the cooled seats work and any other buying advice or tips.
Also, has anyone tried getting a trail hood put on a SR5? I like the scoop.

I was able to get $39,200+TTL for a TEP with KDSS in Dallas. PM me for contact information if you want. I went with a TRD Pro instead though.

That mirrors my deal for the exact same spec.

The guy starting at $41k refuses to disclose his invoice price and claims my data is "bad". He just dropped his offer to $40.5k plus TTL, which he says is $1205. I'm either missing something or he's bad at math. If he'd really do $41705 out the door that'd be a good deal. Right?

For those of you who negotiated the price down, did you use anything other than references to sites like Edmunds and reports of prices here? I've got another dealer who might price match if I show them a "written proposal fit the same unit". Do you think showing the invoice from one of your deals would help?

What did you get for your 99 SR5? My 99 is much better built than my 2011 Trail in terms of paint job, interior plastic and carpeting. I like them both but do not expect my 2011 to last as long as the 99. I think they call it de-contenting.
OTOH the 5th gens have things like 4 wheel disc brakes, camshaft drive chain, and 4L engine and offer a bit more interior space.

My 99 was used as a workhorse and it was not in the greatest condition. I was able to get $4k for it despite having a myriad of issues. I was surprised how much interest I had in it. Seems like lots of people are looking for a 3rd gen! I probably could have gotten more, but we both walked away happy and that was more important to me than snagging an extra couple benjamins!
