How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

Got an offer for a Limited 4x4 in black for $47,500 OTD in Texas, which is about $44,500 before TTL, so about $3,000 off MSRP.

MSRP on sticker is $47,560
Options and packages include: 3rd row, stainless steel exhaust tip, remote start, ball mount, cross bars, aluminum running boards, cargo net, carpet mats, VPP

What do you guys think? Do you think they have room to go lower?

I think you can get it much cheaper, I paid 41K + TTL in Burleson, TX for my 4x4 Limited.

That's similar to what I paid. I don't think it is bad. The options really start to inflate the price. The gulf states region prices are also really inflated by the regional marketing fee (regardless if it is justified fee or not).

Was quoted $38000 pre taxes/licensing/fees for a Black 2016 SR5 Premium w/ 3rd row. MSRP was $40,034.

Delivery Date Stability?

On May 19th, I put some hold money down on a new 4Runner that the dealer said would arrive in the first week of June. After I paid the hold money, he said it would arrive on June 6th. Just today he said it is now arriving on June 18th. Are delivery dates typically this unpredictable or is this just more BS from lying dealers?

Mine said he was ordering it, on a Friday, and it would arrive from Houston on Tuesday. I told them I would be in town on Saturday to bring it home. The vehicle they ordered was not coming in and they got it from another dealer in Texas. They sold me a vehicle they did not have in stock and lead me to believe they did. I got a text from my salesman that the vehicle they ordered for me came in only a week late after I already picked up the other vehicle they got from another dealership.
I would say they cannot predict travel times of vehicles on ships if yours was coming in from a ship. They might just be getting it from another dealership near them. I would put the fire to them about getting the vehicle they promised by a certain time after you put money down.

Based on what they told me I think it's coming via a ship as a new order, not from another dealer. Of course based on 95% of my experience with dealers I don't trust anything they say. So I'm just wondering if there's a way to confirm their claims. In their last email they said they didn't even know the VIN. I find that strange ...

I ordered mine on May 6 and was told at the time it would be here about now. Two weeks ago I got a call from my dealer and they said the earthquake in Japan had delayed production and they're hoping it'll be here by mid-July, but they won't know exactly when it will arrive until it gets to their local distribution center as they don't have good visibility before then. You may want to see where exactly they're sourcing your truck from. If it's coming from Japan then who knows exactly when they'll even get it, but if it's coming from a different dealer then they should be able to tell you.

I'm not sure how much region has to do with it but I can't seem to find a better price then 41.250 out the door. Some dealers said they couldn't even go that low.And that's for just a trail edition

So many variables. My dealer has no fees and was quick to jump to $2,250 off sticker on a TEP, I was happy at that starting price and negotiated a screaming deal on my trade tough to tell where they will allocate the $
