How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

I can only generalize concerning CA prices, but from a percentage standpoint things may not be too different.

First, "invoice" is a non-existent quantity. It's a made-up term by dealers to imply "cost", therefore suggesting you are buying at/near cost. Simply not true.

Better you should work a discount off MSRP. Typical in the US is 4-5% off MSRP, ranging to as high (but rare) as 10% off.

This could help, but no idea if any Canadians have participated.

$49,750 for my Canadian trail, last year. That was out the door.
I went to 3 dealers looking for a black trail. Only one showed any interest in getting one for me. It took 6 weeks. The other dealers both told me 3 months.

I believe the price has gone up a bit because of the dollar.

Fun fact: a trail in Canada is a TEP, and comes with KDSS. the trail package cannot be ordered with anything less.

The search for a used one is coming to a close I can't find a white trail unicorn for the life of me, in Alberta.The dealer says invoice plus 2 percent, waiting to see what that means, what does that really mean and where would this realistically put me at?!thanks :hungry:

I bought my 2015 Canadian trail last August for MSRP minus 2000 plus taxes. I searched all of BC and worked one deal against the other. It would seem that everyone else can get a better deal then this, but it was local and in the colour I wanted. Hope this helps with the search.

Just curious what the range would be for a new LTD with the third row option, door edge guards, mud guards and the four season floor mat package? Unfortunately, all the extras it comes with are none that I care about. They are giving me $900 worth of other options I do want for 'no extra charge'- but can anyone explain these other charges to me? Wondering if I can get out of paying them....dealer holdback, ppo holdback, wholesale financial reserve, TDA and the destination charge?? Thinking the destination charge is pretty standard, but wondering about the others

For reference when I purchased my 15" Limited, I paid $42,500 + TTL. Options were 3rd row, running boards, mud flaps, wheel locks, mats, and remote start.

Costco is a Big Box store like BJ's or Sam's Club. They have a vehicle purchase program but I'm not familiar with it.

I used USAA to negotiate a significant amount off of a TRD Pro and just ordered one through a dealership that orders their vehicles through Southeast Toyota.

If you want a fully loaded T4R, then it'll be easy to obtain a T4R through any dealer via Southeast Toyota. Otherwise, be prepared to wait.

2016 4Runner trail base. Sticker price was $37,900, bought it for $35,500. So we got $2400 off the truck. Not the best deal but not the worst. I really wanted this truck, my wife and I bought it last weekend. I traded im my 03 Tacoma double cab with 120,000 miles and got 10 grand for it. Not bad. Overall very happy with the new runner!

I paid $41,936 OTD for one in Kalispell, it was $2k more than others I was looking at but I didn't want to wait, they had to bring it in from Wyoming.

That is a smoking deal on a TRD....how did you get the matching 5th wheel?? I never heard of that as an option, does it fit underneath and its same tire? That would be nice to have and throw into the rotation to get the stock tires to last a lot longer.

The TRD wheels are available to purchase in both black and gray. I just negotiated that into the deal (I still get the steel spare wheel with the street tire as well.) I wanted the 5th wheel in case we got a flat off-road. It'll just go into rotation with the others like we did when we had our Jeep JKR. No idea what we'll do with the steel spare/tire...

I don't know why it wouldn't fit... When you have to install the spare, you've got to put the flat tire/wheel somewhere, right?!? If for some reason it doesn't, I'll mount the spare to the Gobi Stealth rack (or if I have to, replace the rear bumper with something that has a tire carrier. :biggrin2: )

I didn't bother to negotiate the tire. I work for a tire manufacture that's known worldwide and refused to pay for a competitor's product to mount on the 5th wheel. I'll be getting 5 BFG KO2's (a perk of my employment) to replace the 4 Nitto's with the 5th one going on the matching 5th wheel. Most likely going with the 275/70R17 over a stock size.
