Long time lurker, first time poster. About to pull the trigger on my first 4Runner! I specifically wanted a Classic Silver SR5 Premium 4X4 with black crushed running boards and no 3rd row or sliding tray. 4x4 4Runners are few are far between in my area (Charlotte), unless you want a Limited or a black or white SR5. The dealer I'm working with found one that matched exactly what I wanted on a ship due into port next Tuesday. They have already talked to the dealer it's going to and said they can do a sea trade with them, but would have to trade around a few cars to make it happen. MSRP is $40,820 and I was able to negotiate down to $700 under dealer invoice or $37,420 +TTL (they are also waiving the $589 dealer fee). Does that seem like a fair deal considering they don't have the car in stock and will have to trade for it? The only options listed on the price sheet are Clear Paint Protection-Door Package ($199), Phone Cable & Charge Package ($69), Running Boards ($499), and Toyoguard Platinum ($699)...tried to get them to remove the paint protection and Toyoguard, but they said the SE distributor wouldn't let them take that stuff off.
