How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

I would have went to another dealer after that. There are plenty of good ones out there.

Code:

Yeah, but none with white TEPs that they're willing to deal. They'll get theirs. I pulled all the accessories out of my trade, down to the locking lugs. Lol

So my sales person called me this morning. I placed my $500 deposit on a white 2016 TEP + KDSS + RC last Monday. He's telling me it will be in first of September. I'm quite surprised actually. This was an order not an allocate so they must have caught one inbound is my guess?

Yeah, that had to have procured it from someone else. Good for them (and you)!

If my dealer tries to pull this shit on me once my order comes in I will walk out without looking back.. and they will only get me to turn around if they lower the price beyond our originally agreed upon number.

I don't play these games.

Good for you! I only stuck around because of the trade. That changes everything, because, in WA, you get a tax credit for trading in.

I suppose. 2/3 months would have been more ideal but I won't complain. :)

I get that. We get the tax credit also. I'm also dealing with a trade that I've not yet informed the dealership about. I plan to stop by CarMax to get an idea on value before heading there to pick it up whenever it arrives. I would prefer to sell outright but there's just too little time and hassle involved.

Nice! You may try to sell anyway. My truck sold in 6 days and I was in the new 4Runner 4 days after that, so you never know!

ugh, I'm dealing with that right now. Even though I'll surely get more than the dealer offered me for my F-350 (I declined), it's just a giant pain in the butt. Dealing with random tire kickers, knowing I'm wasting money on insurance, I almost wish I had just traded it to lose the hassle.

I'm close to stopping by CARMAX for the hell of it, but it's not in cosmetic condition that they'd put it on the lot so they'll be offering auction pricing... Still, I would like to not have it weighing on me every day I see my old truck sitting at home.

When you deal, you ought to not really care about the absolute price of the 4Runner nor the absolute price of your little car you are trading. You should care only about the DIFFERENCE between the two. Do some research and have a number you would like to get out of your trade. Then decide how much you want to pay for the 4Runner. The difference between the two numbers is all that really matters. Who cares if you pay list for the 4Runner if they give you list+ for your trade? Conversely who cares if you get invoice for the 4Runner but they won't give you squat for your car?

Find a number (a range between a high and low is better) that you want and tell the dealer you will do the deal for this $XXXX difference. Now they will have to actually work and figure out what to do. In the end it won't matter the price of each vehicle as long as they get the difference between the two where you want. You are going to finance right? That difference is the key and should be the only number discussed, no matter what they say. I have bought probably 40 vehicles that way. 10 in the past seven years lol.

This is a little delayed as I bought mine 3 months ago (already have 4500 miles on it)....

Buuuut I purchased my Mag Gray 2016 TEP w/KDSS + roof rail crossbars + Extras (see below) + TTL for = $45,200 OTD... YES this included TTL.. May sound expensive, right?

What this also included was a voucher to go to RSG, a reputable offroad shop, to install a 3" Toytec Boss lift, TRD Pro Wheels and Toyo R/T 285's...

Still think its expensive? Well it might be.. but given how much TRD Pros are going for, I'm more than content with what I spent.

I hear ya. I was in a boat where I would have to put money into the car to sell it in good conscience. At that point I'd be losing money vs trading it in. I negotiated the trade prior to asking for the price match, and they made the mistake of high-balling me, thinking I was paying full MSRP for the T4R. Worked out well on my end, but they are not the least bit thrilled. Don't put "Home of the $1000 best price guarantee" on your license plates, then. :-P

Doesn't sound bad to me, although, without knowing the TTL, we can't know for sure.

Sidebar: How is the KDSS riding with the 3" lift?

In the boat next to you. I've got to sell my 05 but it's due for maintenance (check engine light on). I'm willing to do what I think is within reason just so I can sleep at night. :)

Can you let me know which dealer and who you worked with. I'm in the negotiation phase with a few dealers here and am basically doing the exact same thing. Also, to confirm, that price includes parts or just labor for all of the aftermarket items?

It was through Groove Toyota and it included parts and labor.. What happened is they ordered the TRD Pro suspension parts and ended up not being compatible with the kdss. So they credited that amount to getting different parts and labor at RSG.

Got my VIN # today so I guess that makes it official'ish.

You're further along than I am. My sales rep said when I put a deposit down that it was just a few weeks away (implying that it was being shipped). I learned yesterday that it doesn't even have a VIN yet.

Oh well, my lift kit and new wheels and tires arrived today.
